Nick Dunlap turned professional in 2024 after establishing himself as a top amateur player, winning the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2021 and the U.S. Amateur in 2023. In 2024, he made headlines as the first amateur in 33 years to win a PGA Tour tournament at The American Express, and he ended his amateur career ranked number one in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Shortly after, he won the Barracuda Championship, becoming the first player to win on the PGA Tour as both an amateur and a professional in the same season.
