Ellish Builders pays $18 million for lots in golf course community

The developer of the Panther National golf course community in Palm Beach Gardens sold six large home lots to luxury homebuilder Ellish Builders for $18 million.
The lots, which range from a half-acre to a full-acre, are slated for custom homes by Boca Raton-based Ellish Builders. The two half-acre sites will be designed by Brenner Architecture Group, while Affiniti Architects was retained to craft the homes for the four full-acre sites.
“With limited residential development opportunities in South Florida particularly with golf, we couldn’t be happier to have secured six outstanding sites within Panther National,” said Matt Ellish, president of Ellish Builders. “Dominik Senn’s vision for a first-class modern golf and lifestyle community is truly one of a kind and precisely what luxury buyers are looking for in today’s market.”
Senn is the head of Switzerland-based Centaur Group, the developer of Panther National and the seller of the six home lots. The community is slated for 218 homes, plus an 18-hole course and the 9-hole practice course. Twenty-one of those home lots will be for custom homes. The project broke ground in early 2022. Home prices now range from $3.5 million to $20 million.
Palm Beach County has been attracting a record number of wealthy residents from out of state over the past few years, which has caused a surge in demand for luxury homes. South Florida has been losing golf courses to development in recent decades, so this is a rate opportunity to have a brand new home on a freshly-built course.
The golf course is slated to open in late 2023. Amenities will include a 39,000-square-foot clubhouse, a pool, a gym, and tennis and pickleball courts.
Willstrong Construction and Development is also working with Panther National to build homes in the community. The first estate homes should be ready in 2024.
Panther National is part of the 4,763-acre Avenir Community, which features thousands of homes and is slated for commercial uses and a community hospital.
